Frederic had a Ph.D. in data science and, after being a data scientist, he is now a product manager in a startup focused on cryptography. When not at work, he likes waking in the woods, meditating and making origami cranes (but usually not all at once…). Frederic is a member of datacraft’s advisory board.
What motivates you in your daily work as a data expert?
Currently, what motivates me is to create new ways to protect people’s data. With my team, we are building tools that use cryptography to protect privacy and security of sensitive data (fully homomorphic encryption, secure multi-party computation, differential privacy, confidential computing, etc.).
What does datacraft bring you?
datacraft brings me a sense of community. It gives me the opportunity to stay in touch with data science best practices since it’s no longer my main occupation.
