Implementing digital services to empower neuroscience research for health and brain inspired technology
SCOPE & EXPECTED OUTCOMES :
This call aims to fund projects that implement and expand state-of-the-art digital services within the EBRAINS research infrastructure to support and accelerate neuroscience research, brain health science, and brain-inspired technologies.
The focus is on creating powerful, AI-enhanced digital tools and services that make neuroscience data more accessible, integrated, interoperable and usable by a broad research community.
Projects should deliver:
- Digital services and platforms that enhance EBRAINS’ capabilities for data access, analysis, modelling and simulation in neuroscience.
- AI-powered tools and workflows that help researchers interact with complex brain data and perform advanced analyses (e.g., machine learning, simulation, visualization).
- Improved data integration, indexing and FAIR data management to strengthen EBRAINS as an open and reliable digital research environment.
- Support for services that connect neuroscience research communities, including academic, clinical and industrial users.
ELIGIBLE APPLICANTS :
Consortium Requirements:
- A consortium of legal entities is required (not a single organisation).
- At least 3 independent legal entities from 3 different countries must participate.
- At least one entity must be established in an EU Member State.
- Eligible countries typically include EU Member States and Horizon Europe Associated Countries.
Entity Types:
- Research institutions, universities, industrial partners, ICT SMEs, and public sector bodies that contribute to the project are generally eligible.
